The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jennifer at her Crazy-For-Books book blog. The hop takes place every weekend and features a new topic or question for book bloggers to discuss or answer. It's a great way to meet other book bloggers and find new books to add to the 'to read' list!
This week's question comes from Christina at The Paperback Princess:
"If you find a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?"
It depends. Most of the time, I love the book and keep an eye out for other books by the same author. I wouldn't say that I 'hunt' for them, but the author is certainly on my radar. There are a few authors whose books have profoundly influenced by life, reading style, writing style, or combination of the three. These are the authors whose books I actively seek out and will impulsively select off the library or bookstore shelf without even reading the back cover or the book jacket. I know the story will be amazing. The one author that comes to mind that has so much sway over me is Carlos Ruiz Zafon. When I finished reading his novel The Shadow of the Wind, I was so blown away by the story that I didn't know what else to do. It was one of the rare instances when a book was so powerful that it seemed like cheating to just pick up another book, especially when you know the book will probably not be anywhere near as amazing as the book you just finished. So I hugged the book to my chest and cried.
What about you? If you love a book, do you actively seek out other books by the same author? Don't forget to check out all the other great answers at Crazy for Books!

Hi Grace,
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. I would have hopped back sooner but I have been lackadaisical today when I've had a plethora, a myriad if you will, of things I should be doing.
Glad you liked my blog theme...it is meant to be ostentatious.
Yeah, I read your top ten favorite words post and found it to be the epitome of top ten word lists! :)

Hey Grace! Thanks for visiting my blog! I'm your newest follower now as well!
To answer your question about Charlaine Harris, she has a few series out. An older one that's finished, one she finished a year or so ago, and her current Southern Vampire Novels--the inspiration to HBO's True Blood.
It's kind of hit or miss with people liking Southern Vampire Novels, they started out really good with a mystery and all, but lately the mystery element has been lacking. I would recommend reading them, but maybe going to the library for some of the newer ones in the series.
Her Harper Connelly series was rather interesting and 4 books long with a woman who could sense where dead bodies lay and there was a long running mystery within the books that was solved at the end.
And I never read her other series, but know that people did like it.
Hope that answer helps! :)
Hi, just hopping on by. I definitely look for other books by an author if I've loved one of their books.
I am there with you concerning Carlos Ruiz Zafon and Shadow of the Wind...I loved that book so much I went to Barcelona to find all the place in the book. Beautiful city.
Stopping by from the Blog Hop.
Stop by my blog if you like to see my full answer.
